Frequently Asked Questions
While there can be some areas of overlap and coordination between these professions, a financial adviser has the unique mandate to grow your wealth and design your financial roadmap. We are licensed to give advice in areas accountants and mortgage brokers cannot, such as superannuation, investments and life insurance. Typically, accountants focus on tax and mortgage brokers focus on loans.
We often help clients who have worked hard to accrue a bit of a nest-egg, whether that be superannuation, equity in your home, cash or perhaps an investment portfolio. However, don’t let the size of your financial position determine whether you get yourself on track with a financial roadmap.
Our first-time meeting will be about getting to know each other. Have a think about what areas you’d like help with and then have info ready around this. As a general rule, any super statements, mortgage info, asset values, insurance schedules etc are helpful to have at hand.
Yes, it’s quite easy for us to meet via video. We’ve got the technology in place so that we can share our screen and use visual displays to make the meeting meaningful and engaging. We understand life gets busy and want to remove barriers for you to connect with us.
We don’t provide cookie-cutter advice; for this same reason we don’t apply cookie-cutter pricing. At the conclusion of our first meeting we will agree on the areas you’d like help with, you’ll then be provided a cost to engage us to design your financial roadmap. No work is started without your prior approval and acknowledgement of cost. To give you an appreciation of the work involved, it typically takes between 30-50 hours to research and design your personalised roadmap and get everything up and running.
We always welcome you connecting us with friends or family who you think will benefit from our help. It can be difficult for many people to know who to trust with their finances, so by telling others about us you’re empowering them to get their financials sorted too. Know that we always keep your financial situation and the work we’re doing with you private and confidential and will not share this information with anyone you connect us with.
